Sample Lesson - Fighting application of movement 1 in Bagua's "8 Basic Palms" form -- "Fierce Tiger Emerges from Mountain."

The first practice form in Baguazhang is called "Eight Basic Palms." It's a relatively simple form, designed to practice circle-walking and some of the energies associated with different palm positions. Students also use this form to practice changing directions while walking the circle.

The Eight Basic Palms form is taught through video instruction -- showing the form, explaining the energies in detail, and also giving insight into the basic fighting applications of the palms and their energies.

This is a short section of the lesson on fighting applications of the form. This clip focuses on the first movement of the form, called "Fierce Tiger Emerges from the Mountain."
